Search & Rescue of Central Florida is incorporated in the State of Florida. The SARCF is a 501(c)3. All SARCF members are volunteers and is overseen by a member elected Board of Directors

Membership requires time, resources and huge interest in bringing home the missing. There are a number of certifications needed to be earned over time. There are some physical requirements.

Team members are required to demonstrate knowledge concerning the general responsibilities, skills, abilities needed by persons who are assigned to field operations during SAR missions and in their support roles.

While SARCF does maintain certain resources, each member is required to provide and maintain their competency in the area(s) of support they lend to the team. Each member is responsible for their acquiring their own personal uniforms, safety & 'Go-Pack' equipment, navigational tools, radio communication instrument, or other related items necessary to conduct their role as a team member for both themselves and their canine, if applicable.
